Company Facts

Started in 1966 with 10 growers, Red Hat Co-operative Ltd. has expanded to 42 growers and 92 acres of greenhouse area.

Redcliff/Medicine Hat area in southeast Alberta, has the sunniest year round skies in Canada (Environment Canada)

Our growers use this abundant sunshine to grow some of the best tasting produce available.

Our growers (some fourth generation greenhouse growers) use natural predators or "good bugs" to combat pests. Bumblebees are used in all tomato greenhouses for natural pollination.

Conveniently located on the Trans Canada Highway, Red Hat has access to all locations across Canada and into the U.S.

Our Western Canada location also enables us to service all retail chains in Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba with daily shipments of fresh harvested product.

Red Hat centrally grades and packages all produce in a newly renovated 55,000 sq.ft. facility including a 19,000 sq.ft. cooler. This insures that only quality produce is shipped to our customers.

Red Hat has implemented a Food Safety program that includes annual audits of both the greenhouses and our packaging facility.
